Washington Square Town Centre
In 2006, Washington Square, the new £50 million town shopping centre was opened. It replaced the run down St John's Arcade, built in the 1960 and 70s with a modern 275,000 sq ft retail-led mixed use complex. Dunmail Park Shopping Centre
Cumbria's favourite shopping centre aims to bring together some of the people of Cumbria's aspirations. A centre providing leisure and shopping experiences under one roof in a friendly environment. Some of the Shops include: Wallis, Top Shop, Top Man, Toyworld, OFFShoot, Select, and Julian Graves.

Helena Thompson Museum
The museum was bequeathed to the people of Workington by Miss Helena Thompson. Helena had a special interest in the history of costume and needlework, and collected many examples of women's and childrens's dresses in the styles fashionable from the late 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century. A selection of these, along with jewellery and accessories are displayed.
